Montgomery Township

Montgomery Township is located in the southern portion of Somerset County (Central Jersey) bordering Mercer and Middlesex Counties – 6 miles from Princeton University and within commuting distance from Rutgers University, Rider University and The College of New Jersey.

It is also situated half way between New York City and Philadelphia.

The Township is a historic 32 square mile area, established in 1702 by Dutch and English Settlers with a farming background. It is composed of 5 communities: Rocky Hill, Skillman, Blawenburg, Belle Mead & Harligen.

Montgomery Township offers excellent schools, various recreation opportunities, and a collective commitment to preserving open land and protecting natural resources.

The Otto Kaufman Senior Center located at 356 Skillman Road, Skillman NJ 08558, offers lunches and activities for members over 60 years of age. The Montgomery Seniour Center is operated through a partnership between Montgomery Township and the Somerset County Office on Aging.
